CAREER FAQ

Native Coders focus on all major technologies within web and application development, mobile, e-commerce and related areas such as DBA, UX/UI and data science.

The majority of our hires are mid-level or senior developers with both proven track record of quality deliveries and social aptitude.

Moving from junior position to more senior roles or to take on specialist or leadership roles within the organisation.

As a consulting firm, the continuous enhancement of our employees' skill sets is imperative. Our workforce is the driving force behind our client engagements, making ongoing skills development a critical aspect of our success.

We strive to have a supportive and open and accepting work environment. Everyone should feel welcome and being part of a friendly organisation.

Normally we work as remote teams to our customers, i.e. following their tempo. We use flexible working even if we strive to be at the office some days of the week to build on our team. Knowing our colleagues is a success factor in our business.

A healthy work environment is vital for all our organisation and also for our customers. Pushing to hard does not make us reliable in the long run.

The onboarding is key. Both to our company and to any customer assignment. We believe in structure and being prepared, thus our process for onboarding is well documented and shared with any candidate reaching to that phase.

Just send in your details through a web form on our career page and we will take it from there!

Many times we hire to a customer engagement. Then time is of the essence and we are many times filling a position within 4-5 weeks from start to contract sign.

Matching is done from case to case. In a larger team more freedom is given to Native Coders. In a smaller team the customer has the main influence about whom to hire.

Fair Coding mainly refers too fair pay, health insurance, work-life balance, good work environment and support for professional growth.

Within our Fair Coding policy we are excluding a number of sectors from our client base, e.g. porn, online casinos, tobacco, weapon industry, etc. In a recuitment dialogue we will be happy to share the complete list as written on our intranet.

Working as remote teams to our customers we work with the technology used by our customers. Besides that it is always important to stay relevant on the market and have the right skill mix.

Some of the benefits are: private healthcare insurance, global profit sharing program, flexible working and healthy workspace, food vouchers, home internet, computer glasses, free training & certifications and more. We will share the complete list during the recruitment process.

Team Structure

Team structure refers to our people in Kenya, where we have our main organization, and covers both the technical team, developers and such, plus local management.

Environment and climate

At Native Coders, we believe that any company must work in harmony with the climate and our planet. Our primary emissions stem from electricity usage in our Nairobi office. Given Kenya's climate, heating is not a significant concern; instead, our energy consumption mainly involves lighting and powering our computers. We conduct most of our meetings online and endeavor to use trains and public transportation for any necessary in-person client meetings in Sweden. Within Kenya, our team predominantly relies on matatus (public minibus taxis) for commuting to the office, unless working from home, as we use a hybrid work model.
